The Last of Us Part II: Official Podcast Will Offer Deep Dive into The Creation of the Game

Today an official The Last of Us podcast has been announced by host Christian Spicer and Creative director Neil Druckmann. 

Today an official The Last of Us podcast has been announced by host Christian Spicer and Creative director Neil Druckmann. 

According to Druckmann, the podcast will offer a deep dive into the creation of The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II.

It will start broadcasting here on June 9, and it’ll also star Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who play respectively Joel and Ellie in the games.

“The official podcast of The Last of Us – critically-acclaimed winner of over 200 Game of The Year Awards – offers an immersive experience that blends dynamic conversations and the cinematic storytelling that changed gaming forever. Featuring writer and creative director Neil Druckmann and stars Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, as well as other talents and visionaries who brought the games to life, The Official The Last of Us Podcast will take listeners through the groundbreaking journey of Part I and the making of the highly-anticipated Part II.”

In the meanwhile, new gameplay will be showcased tomorrow, May 27, during a brand-new PlayStation State of Play broadcast.

Sony Interactive Entertainment recently reopened digital pre-orders for the game on the PlayStation Network. The game is ready and has “gone gold” ahead of its launch.

The Last of Us Part II will be released on June 19, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
