Today Bandai Namco announced the western release date of Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris.
More than “announced” I should probably say “leaked” as the new trailer revealing the release date was published only by the official Brazillian and Latin America channels of the publisher.
It’s very likely that the official announcement on the channels of the other regions is coming soon, but for now this is what we get.
The release date is on May 22, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
You can watch the trailer below, showing quite a few familiar faces from the anime. Of course, not everything is the same, including the presence of Asuna and of the brand new character Medina Orthinanos.
Update: The trailer has been hurriedly removed, as expected, but you can check out a screenshot with the release date below.
We’ll publish a post with the trailer as soon as it’s uploaded officially.
If you want to learn more about Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris, you can enjoy two recent gameplay trailers featuring Kirito and Asuna respectively, on top of the first look at Tiese and Ronye.
You can also enjoy the original announcement trailer, the previous promotional video, more gameplay from a few months ago, the latest screenshots, the latest trailer, and even more semi-recent gameplay.
We also have a video introducing the voice actress playing the role of the new character Medina Orthinanos, Miho Okasaki.
