The game was played live during a livestream from the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival hosted in Tokyo. While it’s normally dedicated to light novels, it even includes some space for anime and video games, and this is what we got.

We get to see Asuna in action, which is interesting considering that she did not accompany Kirito during the first part of the anime.

At the moment we don’t know what her role will be, besides trying to keep the greedy paws of an army of waifus off Kirito.

That being said, we already know that the game will feature differences with the anime, and the second part will be completely independent.

You can watch it below, and see if she feels familiar.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is coming for PS4, Xbox One, and PC in 2020.
