The trailer was released on Sony’s PlayStation channel because it’s about the Special Ops Survival Mode, which will be exclusive for a year on PS4, until October 2020.

You can check it out below and see if it’s worth picking the game on PS4 as opposed to other platform. A recent trailer made a reasonably strong case for the PC version a few days ago.

If you’re unfamiliar with the mode, here’s how it’ll work.

Special Ops Survival pits you and up to three of your friends against enemy forces in intense cooperative combat on one of three Multiplayer maps. In Special Ops Survival Mode, you will fight off waves of increasingly difficult and determined combatants in a variety of experiences.”

You’d be forgiven if you thought it sounds like Horde Mode.

If you want to see more of the game, you can enjoy the launch trailer that was released a few days ago, and another focusing on the Special Ops mode in general, one coming straight from Japan with a definitely different flavor.

You can also enjoy the multiplayer reveal trailer and an extensive gameplay video.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases on October 25 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
