Today Sega announced the lineup of games that it will bring at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show in Septemeber.
First and foremost, we’ll get another look at Project Sakura Wars, which is bringing the Sakura Taisen series back to PS4.
Secondly, Persona 5 Royal will make an appearance, with its many additions on top of the massively popular JRPG by Atlus.
Lastly, we’re getting the duo of games dedicated to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which are Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 – The Official Video Game (which actually already launched in Japan last month and will release in the west next year for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC) and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, which is coming in November only for Nintendo Switch.
Do keep in mind that this is likely a preliminary list that doesn’t include unannounced titles. For instance, it’s likely that the next Yakuza game (which will be announced in August) will also be showcased by Sega.
Project Sakura Wars releases in Japan on December 12, 2019, exclusively for PS4, and in the west in 2020.
Persona 5 Royal is launching in Japan on October 31, 2019, only for PS4, and in the west in 2020 as well.
Tokyo Game Show runs between September 12 and September 15 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, near Tokyo. Twinfinite will be on the show floor, so you can expect plenty of coverage from us.
