This time around we get to see plenty of story cutscenes showcasing interactions between familiar and new characters, but also a few bits of combat.

On top of that, we read on an official Kickstarter update that “production is steadily moving forward,” with the mention that the team hopes to share more information “very soon.”

You can check it out below. If you want to see more, you can also enjoy the most recent screenshots, two additional images from a few days before and a recent video showcasing the making of the English voice acting.

We’re now less than eight months away from the massively-anticipated release of Shenmue III, which recently closed its crowdfunding campaign at a whopping $7,179,510.

Shenmue III will finally release for PS4 and PC on Aug. 27, 2019. Honestly, it almost doesn’t feel real that we’re just a few months away from actually playing the third chapter of the Shenmue saga. Having played the first and the second games when they were originally released, it feels like a lifetime has passed.

Yet, dreams do come true, it appears.
