Owners of Nvidia’s latest range of RTX video cards will be happy to hear that Metro Exodus supports Ray Traced Global Illumination. In order to enable these features, you’ll need at least Windows 10 RS5 (Build 1809) and Direct X 12 capabilities. RTX-specific performance profiles are said to come in the following days.
Windows 8.1 users will require build 9600 or newer, while Windows 8 users should at least run build 9200. If you’re still sticking with Windows 7, you’re going to need Service Pack 1 or newer in order to run Metro Exodus.
This follows a number of other reveals which include a weapons trailer, a very special edition, the fact that the title will launch with a photo mode, and details on how making Metro Exodus was a breath of fresh air. You can also check out the title’s system requirements in image form over on the game’s website.
Metro Exodus is the first title in the series to make the move to an open world and is scheduled to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on Feb. 15.
