Devil May Cry 5

Today Capcom livestreamed a brand new broadcast about its upcoming action game Devil May Cry 5.

The livestream focused on Dante, providing a good look at the Royal Guard style. We also get to see our hero’s taunts and a whole lot of fighting.

Interestingly, the development team created different visual styles for rank-and-file enemies, in order to provide some diversity.

We also hear how Mat Walker managed to land a dream job at Capcom, starting at a fan, and more on the philosophy behind the design of Nico.

An intriguing response was provided when Community Manager Matthew Edwards asked about the release of a public demo for Devil May Cry 5. The answer was that there is nothing to announce at this time, but “we’re always thinking about the fans.” As Walker was answering, Itsuno-san made the following face.

Devil May Cry

You can find that at the 55:20 mark, and seeing Itsuno-san being coy in motion is probably the best answer we’re going to get for now. You can interpret it as you see fit, but I think that’s rather telling.

Towards the conclusion of the stream, we get to meet some more members of the Devil May Cry 5 development team, before things end with karaoke.

You can watch the whole video below. Do keep in mind that the audio isn’t great since the stream was hosted from the team’s New Year party at a local bar.

If you want to see more about the game, you can check out the Void Mode which was presented a few days ago and more gameplay featuring Nero and his Devil Breakers. You should also not forget to read our hands-on preview.

Devil May Cry 5 releases on March 8th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
