Andrew House hosted Sony’s panel at GDC, announcing several juicy tidbits including the PSVR’s release month and launch prices for several different regions.
A new mode on PlayStation VR was also revealed, called Cinematic Mode. Using Cinematic Mode users can play PS4 games on the PSVR headset on a giant virtual screen with three different levels of zoom. Netflix can also be viewed using Cinematic Mode, for those who prefer a more immersive streaming experience.
House also revealed a new virtual reality experience in an upcoming Star Wars Battlefront title, exclusive to the PSVR. More details on that game, the headset, and a pinned down release date will follow in the coming months.
