While exploring Kakariko Village, you may stumble on a small girl selling a Ring Garland near the inn. Koko will sell one Ring Garland daily for five Rupees, and although it looks pretty, the game doesn’t explicitly say anything about its utility. If you are curious about how to use this decoration in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can read this guide to find out the answer!
Zelda: TOTK Ring Garland’s Utility
To discover the secret use of Ring Garland, you must travel to the underground shelter in Gerudo Town. Before fast-traveling, you have to fuse the Ring Garland to your shield, or you won’t be able to bring the item with you.
Your next objective is to attend the Voe and You class at night. So if you arrive during the day, you can either rent a bed or wait beside a campfire to pass the time. Once the sun has set, you can enter the underground shelter and visit the Voe and You classroom at -3874, -2975, 0033.
Afterward, you can speak to Ashei to join the class and help the adult Gerudo women learn to interact with a Voe. Do note that you must first converse with two women before you can use the Ring Garland. Nali will be too shy to look you in the face, and you have to wear any type of face covering, such as the Majora’s Mask, to speak with her.
The second woman, Pritana, does not fare much better and is quite nervous when facing Link. She will ask for Noble’s Pursuit drink, which you can buy from Furosa’s bar north of Gerudo Town for 20 Rupees. The third Gerudo, Deltan, is not shy about interacting with a Voe, but she feels unlucky and has no chance of falling in love.
If you’re equipping the Ring-Garland Shield, the woman will notice the item on your back and become excited. She will speak about how lucky she is to see such a rare object and believes that Link’s presence is a sign that she still has a chance of finding love.
Unfortunately, you won’t receive any reward for showing the Ring Garland to Deltan, and the game does not mark these events as a side quest. However, it is still a nice detail that some Tears of the Kingdom fans may appreciate since it fleshes out Gerudo culture and shows how the women learn to interact with a Voe.
