Rocket League’s Halloween Event Calls for the Ghostbusters

Rocket League’s Halloween event begins tomorrow and will offer Ghostbusters-themed cosmetic items and new modes, developer Psyonix announced.

The Haunted Hallows event returns from last year with a new promotional tie-in, the Ghostbusters franchise. Similar to the recent Fortnite-themed Llama-Rama event, players can earn specific Ghostbusters cosmetic accessories by completing various challenges. The full list of rewards include:

  • Ghostbusters Avatar Border
  • GhostBusters Player Banner
  • Ghostbusters Wheels
  • Stay Puft Topper
  • Stay Puft Wheels
  • Ectoplasm Boost
  • Mood Slime Boost
  • Ghost Trap Topper
  • Slimer Topper
  • Ecto-1 Player Banner

The Item Shop will also offer Ghostbusters items, such as the Ecto-1 car, alongside previous Haunted Hallows event items. Players can also earn Golden Pumpkins from event challenges that contain items from the Turbo, Nitro, and Vindicator Series.

Rocket League is also receiving two limited-time modes available during the event: Haunted Heatseeker and Spike Rush. Haunted Heatseeker is the regular Heatseeker mode played on the new Haunted Urban Arena and is available starting with the event tomorrow until Oct. 26, while Spike Rush will be played on night map variants and begin Oct. 26 until Nov. 2.

The Rocket League Halloween event begins tomorrow, Oct. 20 until Nov. 2 and will be live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Epic Games Store, and Steam for those who downloaded it on the platform before the game went free-to-play last month.
