A blog post today made the announcement and showcases an image of the book and special slip-on cover, which is said to have been created with a design “inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics and chronicles.”

There’s also an overview of what sort of illustrations will feature inside. The description reads:

The Art of Ghost of Tsushima showcases every detail of the vast and exotic locale, featuring elegant illustrations of dynamic characters, spirited landscapes, and diagrams of Samurai sword-fighting techniques, along with a look at storyboards and renders from the most intense, eloquent, and expressive cinematic moments of the game.

The Art of Ghost of Tsushima will hit bookshelves later this year, though no official release date is confirmed. You can pre-order over on Amazon right now. The book is priced at $49.99.

Dark Horse is well regarded for its work creating similar art books and video game collectibles for other popular games. Back, for example, it published The Art of Splatoon, while earlier this year we learned that the company would produce a new line of Cyberpunk 2077 figurines.

Ghost of Tsushima is set during Fuedal Japan in 1274 as the Mongal army threatens to invade. Players take control of Jin Sakai, a warrior who abandons the samurai principles of fighting with honor to engage in a guerilla campaign against the aggressors. It is set to launch this summer, June 26, exclusively on PS4.
