Nintendo and Dark Horse Comics have announced that Splatoon, Nintendo’s popular multiplayer title which released on the Wii U last year, will be receiving its own artwork book, set to hit stores later next year.
The Art of Splatoon will be an English adaptation of the Japanese book which released exclusively in that country last year, making it the first time that concept art for the game will be available in a translated format.
The book is set to be 320 pages long, will include both 2D and 3D illustrations from the game, and is due to launch on June 13th, 2017.
Within, you’ll find “illustrations of your favorite characters, maps, concept art, weapon and gear design, storyboards, sketches, hand-drawn comics” and more, which all acted as inspiration for the game itself.
You can pre-order the book for $39.99 on Amazon right now, but no word yet on which stores will be selling it directly.
It might feel like a long wait till that June release date, but at least you can check out the front cover of the book below.
Splatoon was originally released for the Wii U back in May of 2015, and has gone on to become one of the console’s most popular and critically lauded titles.
