The video showcases the fact that the game actually includes storytelling, and the scenario is actually written by Hideki Kamiya himself.

There is a mode focusing exclusively on the shooting, but there is a mode dedicated to the story. We also get a release date, and it’s December 9, 2021.

Incidentally, Sol Cresta is currently playable at BitSummit with its own arcade cabinet.

You can watch it below and enjoy this small glimpse at the story.

Sol Cresta is coming this year for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s a retro-style vertical shooter with Gattai (combination) elements.

If you’d like to see more, you can enjoy the previous gameplay video from an event broadcasted a few days ago.

Speaking of PlatinumGames, they recently released a brand new DLC for The Wonderful 101: Remastered.

The studio is also working on its own on its new IP Project G.G and on Babylon Fall for Square Enix. Of course, we should not forget about Bayonetta 3, but nothing has been said about it for a while.
