Neptunia ReVerse for PS5 Reveals New Gameplay Footage in New Video

Today Compile Heart released new gameplay footage of the upcoming Hyperdimension Neptunia JRPG Neptunia ReVerse.

TGhe footage provides another handy look at what the game looks like on the brand new PS5.

On top of that, we also get to take a look at the Japanese collector’s edition.

If you are unfamiliar with Neptunia ReVerse, it’s not exactly a “new” game. It’s basically the is the “definitive version” of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 + for PS4, which is, in turn, a remaster of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 for PS Vita, which was a remake of the original game of the series.

Here’s how Idea Factory International describes the game, which is releasing in Japan on December 17. It’ll come west in 2021 exclusively for PS5.

Story
Gamindustri – A distant world comprised of four nations, each under the divine protection of a Goddess.

Planeptune: Land of Purple Progress, ruled by Neptune
Lastation: Land of Black Regality, ruled by Noire
Lowee: Land of White Serenity, ruled by Blanc
Leanbox: Land of Green Pastures, ruled by Vert

Locked in the Console War, the four Goddesses vie for domination of the planet until Neptune is cast down and stripped of her power.

Now Neptune must fight to restore her place, but could a being known as Arfoire threaten the very world the Goddesses have sworn to protect?
