Today Rabbit & Bear Studios had an update to share about its upcoming JRPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.
The update included a message by Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama who is at the helm of this project. Murayama-san mentions that the Kickstarter was much bigger than what the developers expected. On top of that, the publishing partnership with 505 Games allowed the development team to secure additional budget.
Thanks to that, the development team wants to make the game bigger and better than originally planned.
As a consequence, the game will be delayed “slightly” beyond the originally expected October 2022 release window. This is also due to the COVID-19 pandemic that forced the development team to reorganize its development resources.
We also take a look at another character, Code L, and another monster, the Sky Sahagin.
Code L
HOME: The League of Nations  AGE: 22
FAVORITE FOOD:Â Chocolate mint ice cream
A young man with an unhealthy obsession with rune-lenses. His glasses are fitted with a miniature rune-lens, and he has a slight stoop despite his tall, skinny build.
Code L usually speaks slowly and softly—but bring up rune-lenses and he’ll talk your ear off! He knows a great deal about them, to be sure, but he tends to recommend the rare and unwieldy ones. His dream is to invent an artificial rune-lens. In some ways, his research there surpasses the Galdean Empire’s.
Sky Sahagin
Talk about a fish out of water! This scare-craft doesn’t even bother landing before laying on the hurt. Some claim it flies faster than the speed of sound.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes’ campaign was launched on Kickstarter a few months ago, reaching its basic founding goal in two hours and unlocking console platforms shortly after. It ended at a whopping $4,571 million, making this the third most-funded game on the platform.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will come to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and a possible next-gen Nintendo platform.
For the sake of full disclosure, you should keep in mind that the author of this article is among the backers of the game.
