It’s almost time for you skilled Z-fighters to dust off your old tricks with the Dragon Ball FighterZ Switch Beta. While the game releases on Sept. 28, the Bandai Namco UK Twitter account recently announced that the Nintendo Switch Open Beta test will begin in Aug. and will come packed with new features.
The tweet also announced that two new local multiplayer features will be testable during the open beta. Players will be able to take part in 2v2 and 1v1 matches, and they’ll be able to compete in an offline six-player party match mode. These exciting new features are sure to shake up how the game is played and may usher in new, dynamic styles of play.
Last month, the Bandai Namco announced that those that pre-order FighterZ for the Switch will receive a rare Super Famicon exclusive DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Super Butoden. Pre-ordering will also grant players immediate access to the very powerful, and very blue, Super Sayian God Super Sayain Goku and Vegeta. There’s also a surprise in-store for console and PC players and fans of the very beginning of DBZ.
Base-Goku and Vegeta were recently announced as DLC characters for the console and PC versions of the game and will be released in Aug. From the very early story arcs of DBZ, these forms of our constantly bickering heroes will come packed with their own classic move-sets and even more nostalgic designs.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It’s Switch release is set for Sept. 28.
