This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information

Ubisoft has announced via Twitter that they will be running a technical alpha for the Division 2 from December 15 to December 18. The alpha will only be available on PC to a small group of players that have already been selected.

The exact start and end times of the alpha are December 15 at 8 AM EST to December 18 at 5 AM EST. Players who have been selected to participate in the alpha will be able to preload the game on December 13 at 8 AM EST.

Ubisoft has not provided any specifics about what parts of the Division 2 alpha players will have access to, but technical alphas typically only contain smaller sections of a game. Alpha players have also been asked to sign an NDA before they will be given access to the alpha. This NDA will make it extremely difficult for any impressions of the game to be available to the public.

Alpha players are also being asked to provide feedback about the game to Ubisoft via their private forums. The private forums will allow players to discuss their experience with the alpha without violating their NDA.

For anyone who was not lucky enough to get access to the alpha, there is still an opportunity to be included in The Division 2’s beta. To take part in the beta test you can pre-order the Division 2 or sign up on Ubisoft’s website.

Ubisoft has not announced a date for the beta yet, but it will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

If you would like to read more about how selected players will be accessing the alpha, more information can be found on Ubisoft’s website. Also, if you want to learn more about the Division 2 be sure to check out our coverage of the game’s campaign, raids, and clan system.

The Division 2 is currently set for a March 15, 2019 release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
