Matsuyama-san mentions .Hack and Asura’s Wrath, but provides a more general explanation about what the studio could do by using new technology to improve some of its older games.

We hear about improved graphics and quality of life tweaks, which are always welcome, even if he doesn’t provide specific hints on possible future remakes or remasters.

You can watch the video below. Just make sure to click on “cc” to activate the subtitles, and then set them to English, unless you can read moon runes.

Recently, during the same series of videos, Matsuyama-san teased an ongoing anime project based on an established IP. While no further details were confirmed (besides that there are no plans for a Bleach game), it should be announced soon.

He also confirmed that the development of Strelka Stories has been suspended.

Currently CyberConnect2 is also working on Dragon Ball Z Kakarot for PS4, Xbox One, and PC under Bandai Namco’s umbrella.

The game is coming out on January 17, 2020.

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
