It Takes Two: How to Skip Cutscenes & Dialogue

It Takes Two tells the story of Cody and May, a couple who have found themselves magically transformed into smaller doll versions of themselves by their daughter. In order to return to their normal lives, the couple must work together to overcome obstacles in a familiar, yet different world. A lot of the story plays out in the cutscenes, but if you’re looking to get right back into the action, you may be wondering how to skip cutscenes in It Takes Two.

Skipping Cutscenes in It Takes Two

To skip a cutscene, both players must press and hold down Circle on PlayStation or B on Xbox One/ Series X|S.

Each player pressing and holding down the button will result in a semi-circle slowly filling. When both players do this, the two semi-circles make a full circle, which then triggers skipping the cutscene.

Doing so will then cause the game to immediately throw you back into the action, so you can make your way further through Cody and May’s adventure again.

It’s worth noting that we’d recommend watching the cutscenes on your first playthrough at least. The Book of Love is actually quite humorous, and the zany characters you meet along the way have some great lines which are sure to give you a good chuckle.

That’s everything you need to know on how to skip cutscenes in It Takes Two. For more tips, tricks, and guides, head on over to our wiki, search for Twinfinite, or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
