Best Gadgets for Peter Boss Fight in Spider-Man 2
Before you start fighting Peter, I highly recommend leveling up the Upshot gadget. During my playthrough, I almost fully upgraded this tool, and it managed to shoot Peter into the air, giving me an opening to get close and hit him.
You can also level up the Ricochet Web and Concussion Burst gadgets if you have enough Tech Parts. These tools can temporarily immobilize Peter and give you some breathing room.
Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Peter Boss Fight Guide
The Symbiote Peter boss fight consists of three phases. However, unlike the battle against the Lizard, you will stay in the same boss arena. There is not much difference between each stage, except for Peter using more Symbiote’s abilities.
The best strategy to quickly defeat Peter is to use the big bell at the center of the arena. You should be familiar with this instrument since Kraven often used it during his clashes against Peter. Since you need to hold the L1 and R1 buttons for several seconds, ensure the boss is far away from you, or you’ll get hit.
When the bell rings, Peter will get stunned for several seconds, and this is the perfect time to get close and unleash your powers. You will likely get five hits before Peter parries you and webs up the bell.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use the bell immediately and must wait for the webbing to be gone. Another way to ring the bell again is to use the Symbiote bombs Peter throws at you. Besides dodging it, you can press the L1 and R1 buttons to launch the projectile at the bell to remove the webbing.
Although you can evade and parry most of Peter’s moves, you must be careful against Symbiote’s abilities. I recommend dodging sideways if you’re not confident with your parrying skill.
I find it’s best to move away from Peter once you’re done dishing out your combos. Most of the boss’ moves are easier to handle when you have ample distance between the two of you.
After removing the Symbiote, you can no longer access Venom’s powers as Peter. Luckily, this is only temporary, and our hero can use it again after completing some main missions in Spider-Man 2.
