The Animal Crossing New Horizons 2.0 update has officially dropped, adding in new villagers, a bunch of new shops on Harv’s island, cooking, farming vegetables and ingredients like Wheat, stretching with your fellow islanders, the ability to hang ceiling lights, and create accent walls with the Pro Decorating license and even the ability to have a coffee at The Roost by visiting Brewster. One of the new characters to make their way to Harv’s island is the Fortune Teller Katrina. Getting Animal Crossing New Horizons Katrina on Harv’s Island
Like any of the other stores, you’ll need to donate 100,000 Bells to one of the Lloid Gyroids on Harv’s Island to get Katrina to arrive. Specifically, you need to choose and donate to the gyroid second up from the left, who will tell you he’s collecting for a ‘mysteriously accurate fortune teller.’
Once you’ve handed over the 100,000 Bells, you’ll need to wait one real-life day for Katrina to arrive.
Getting Your Fortune Told in Animal Crossing New Horizons
Now that Katrina has arrived on Harv’s Island, simply head over to her stall and press A to talk to her. She’ll offer to tell your fortune for 1,000 Bells.
You can then choose whether you want to know about your luck, or how strong your friendship is with one of your Islanders.
Do this and then a little cutscene conversation will play out where Katrina will tell you what you can expect to happen in your near-term future.
All Fortunes & What They Do
Animal Crossing New Horizons’ Katrina can tell you one of six fortunes, and they actually impact the gameplay in a minor way. We’ve listed all six fortunes below so you know what they are and what they change.
- Popular/ Fortune Upon Love: Villagers of the opposite gender will take a liking to the player.
- Support/ Fortune Upon Friendship: Villagers of the same gender will be supportive.
- Unpopular/ Disaster Upon Love: Villagers will avoid the player.
- Lucky Finances/ Fortune Upon Wealth: The player will earn and find more Bells than usual.
- Lucky Materials/ Fortune Upon Items: The player is more likely to acquire rare items.
- Unlucky/ Disaster Upon Health: The player will fall down and trip over a lot.

Improve Islander Friendships with Katrina in Animal Crossing New Horizons
If you choose the option to talk to Katrina about your friendships, she’ll ask you which islander you’d like to know more about your friendship with.
She’ll give you a general gauge of how strong your friendship is, and then a tip on how to improve that friendship.
After this, Katrina can then bless you with a special friendship blessing for 10,000 Bells. This will increase the rate at which you become friends with the chosen Islander, which is particularly handy if you want to keep them on your island long-term.
