The free-to-play release will launch on Epic Games’ storefront on February 17, and it’ll include all content, including the brand new (in the west) Episode 6 from the get go.

The press release includes a comment from Fred White from PSO2 Team Global.

“We are so happy to be releasing Phantasy Star Online 2 Global on the Epic Games Store.

With all the huge updates to the game over the past year, including the newest Chapter 6 update, there’s more content than ever to explore and play through. We can’t wait to welcome in all the new players to the PSO2 universe!”

On top of that, we get a video guide dedicated to the successor class Luster, which is included in the Episode 6 update.

Last, but not least, we take a look at a new AC Scratch collection titled Versus Annihilation. It’ll be available today and it’ll last quite a long time, until August 10.

You can check out both videos below.

Phantasy Star Online 2 is available in the west for Xbox One and PC. A few months ago, we heard that the western version enjoyed a “strong start” and that it passed one million players.

In the meanwhile, Sega recently announced Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, which will basically be a new game operated in parallel with the original Phantasy Star Online 2.

The original game will, in turn, receive a visual upgrade to bring it more in line with New Genesis’ graphics. Players will be able to use the same accounts and characters to play both games.

You can check out what it looks like in the latest gameplay reveal.
