Square Enix’s Oninaki Gets New Commercials Showing Gameplay and Story

Today Square Enix released two new TV commercials of the upcoming action JRPG by Tokyo RPG Factory Oninaki.

Both videos focus on both gameplay and story cutscene, including foreboding narration that sets the stage for the game, which delves into some pretty dark and heavy topics.

Of course, since they’re commercials, they’re also rather brief, but if you’re interested in the game, they’re a nice little treat.

Oninaki releases in the west on August 22 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. It’ll also launch in Japan on the same day. We’re now less than a month away, and it’ll be interesting to see if Oninaki will manage to surpass the previous releases by Tokyo RPG Factory.
