According to Sakurai, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC Characters Have Already Been Decided

Just this past week, Nintendo snuck a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate-focused direct presentation right upon us with barely any time to get excited. In this Nintendo Direct, which would be the last one for the Nintendo party fighter, the company unveiled not one, not two, but three new characters that would be added to the already-large roster. Fans, of course, have seemed to be messaging and tweeting at Sakurai and Nintendo, requesting that their favorite characters should be added to the roster as well.

Sakurai being the fantastic hard-working man that he is, responded to fans on Twitter on the subject of the DLC characters that fans think have not been chosen yet. According to Sakurai, “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC line-up is now complete. This time the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. I decide if we can create a fighter based on their selection, then come up with the plan.”

For those die-hard Smash fans that want so badly for Waluigi to be in this game, I’m sorry. The time has passed and it looks like Nintendo will not be fulfilling your oh so wanted wishes. Nintendo won’t be taking fan feedback anymore on the matter since the five characters that will be added to the game throughout the next two years have already been decided.

“It’s great to dream about your favorite character joining the battle and I appreciate your passion, but please try to stay on topic when replying to tweets and refrain from flooding us, and other users, with requests when we’re not specifically asking for feedback. Thank you!”, states Sakurai.
