Voice Recording for Final Fantasy VII Remake is Almost Finished

This is only for the first part, presumably.

Now don’t get too excited, as we’re probably still a ways away from the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake. Part one. Still, game producer Yoshinori Kitase has stated in an interview with Dengeki (via aibo_ac7) that the voice recording for the game’s main scenario is almost complete. We’re assuming that he’s referring to the voice recording for part one of the remake, since it’s already been announced that the game will be released in episodes.

Here’s a translation of what Kitase said, courtesy of Gematsu:

‘“A remake of Final Fantasy VII required substantial preparedness,” Kitase told Dengeki PlayStation. “The voice actors have almost finished voice recording of the main story. Fans may have the image of the Cloud from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, but since this is the ‘prime’ Cloud from before Advent Children, the performance may feel fresh.”’

While it is good news for fans waiting to finally get some hands-on time with the remake, it’s a little hard to get excited for the game especially when you think about how many parts it could possibly be split into. Final Fantasy VII’s story is really massive, after all.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced at E3 2015. We’ll keep you updated as more info comes our way.
