If you’re a fan of XCOM 2 and live in the UK, you may appreciate this. Firaxis’ strategy game will be part of a mod contest hosted at London gaming pub Secret Weapon early next month.

Teams of up to six will have to create their own mod or game using the XCOM 2 SDK, and the winner will gain §300 supplies (£300), 24 alloys (a case of beer) along with a care bundle courtesy of the lovely folks over at 2K. The winning mod will also be part of the mods already available on 2K Games’ stand at the PC Weekender festival on March 5 and 6.

The mod you work on can’t be anything that’s already been made in the game, whether in the base game or a mod by another creator. You’ll have 10 minutes to pitch your creation and it has to be playable for at least one of the judges that night. The judging process will take place at 7 PM on March 4 and run until 1:30 AM.

Think you’ve got what it takes? Go ahead and sign up! If you need some inspiration for what to make, this should help.
