Where Is Dead Island 2 Set?

Breaking down where Dead Island 2 is set!

After spending years in development hell and going dark for extended periods of time, the first day of Gamescom confirmed that Dead Island 2 is real and it is alive. Fans won’t have long to wait until they can jump in and fend off the zombie hordes, and with the new information drop, it looks like the game has changed a bit during its development cycle. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the game’s setting, and here’s what you need to know about where Dead Island 2 is set.

What is the Setting of Dead Island 2?

Dead Island 2 is set in Los Angeles, California or, as it’s aptly named, HELL-A. When the game was first announced back in 2014, the original developers introduced that the sequel would be heading to LA, and it seems that the location has stayed consistent despite the shuffling of teams.

The official website states that fans will be visiting all of the most iconic locations in the City of Angels, including Beverly Hills and Venice Beach, as players set out to discover the cause of the outbreak and how to survive it.

That’s all you need to know about Dead Island 2’s setting. Be sure to check out the full reveal, including a new gameplay trailer as well as other Gamescom announcements such as the debut of Where Wind Meets, the new Gotham Knights trailer, and some similar zombie fun in brand new footage from The Callisto Protocol.

I love almost every type of video game, and when I'm not playing them, I'm writing about them... a lot. I have too many favorites to list so feel free to ask about them! Long live Ugly Sonic and the Resident Evil 3 Remake (this is a meme btw).
