It appears that Muv-Luv fans may have to wait for quite a while before they’ll be able to play the brand new mobile game Immortals: Muv-Luv Alternative again.
The game was released on March 17 as expected, but issues with the servers caused an emergency maintenance until the day after. Players were then able to play for a few hours (and personally speaking, the game is actually really sleek), but then a critical issue was found, causing the developer to bring the game down once again, before removing it from the stores completely to avoid causing confusion.
Today publisher aNCHOR hosted a brief livestream in which production manager Sho Hamanaga apologized for the issues.
Hamanaga-said that the development team is working hard to investigate the issue, but the cause is still unknown, so they can’t provide a prediction on when service may resume. They will provide an announcement on the status of the investigation and on what they’re going to do to address the situation on Friday, March 25th at the latest.
On top of that, the team would like to make sure that no further problems happen after the service is reopened, so they would like to take some time to do the necessary checks after the root cause of the issue is established. As a result of this, it’s highly likely that service may not resume for about a month.
In regards to billing and the retention of saved data, the team pledges to do its best to accommodate the players’ requests.
If you’re interested in the Muv-Luv series in general, you should definitely read our recent interview with Hamanaga-san himself and brand producer Kazutoshi “Tororo” Matsumura, in which they talked about the plans for the franchise.
During the latest event, we saw new trailers for the new games Muv-Luv Integrate and Muv-Luv Resonative and a look at updates for Project Mikhail: A Muv-Luv War Story, new images for Muv-Luv Resonative, and the reveal of Duty Lost Arcadia.
