Today the Japanese Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) that organizes Tokyo Game Show every year revealed the main visual of this year’s show.
This year the main visual is by illustrator Kukka, which is quite the change considering that the illustrations have been designed by Ippei Gyuoubu for quite a few years.
You can find it below alongside the new logo. This year’s theme is “We’ll always have games.”
The press release also included a comment by Kukka.
“We always have games around us, and they bring colors to our lives. I also personally think that games are indispensable in my life.
I chose colors that would make people feel happy and cheerful, and featured a wide range of motifs, from fashion to the latest game images as well as retro ones. I am honored to create the main visual
for TGS for the second consecutive year. Thank you very much!”
On top of the visual and logo we also get to hear about the new VR Venue.
“TGS2021 VR Will Opens for the First Time Ever in TGS History!
Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Tokyo Game Show, TGS2021 ONLINE will newly opens the VR (Virtual Reality) venue as a project evolving further from the last year’s online event. Through virtual reality gaming experience, TGS2021 ONLINE will bring new exciting ways to enjoy TGS with fresh surprises. Details will be announced at a later date.”
Tokyo Game Show 2021 will be an online event again this year and will air between September 30 and October 3.
