MLB The Show 21 Is Stunning as Latest Trailer Teases Roberto Clemente

America's pastime is looking damn fine.

The game has indeed changed, as Sony San Diego has let rip its latest gameplay trailer for MLB The Show 21, showing us what the PS5 can do in terms of the visuals for the baseball juggernaut. Not only that, we got a tease in the form of the return of MLB legend Roberto Clemente.

Just like a sports highlight reel, the trailer spotlights many of the game’s superstars. Cover athlete Fernando Tatis Jr. takes center stage, while we also got a good look at various gameday scenarios and the different parks players will no doubt be eager to visit.

The power of the PS5 is certainly showing here, as MLB The Show 21 looks the best the series has ever looked. With 4K and 60 FPS being the carrot dangled here, if you have the necessary hardware, America’ favorite pastime is going to be stunning.

Thanks to the hardware of the new generation, Sony San Diego has also included the park creator for MLB The Show 21. Folks on the PS4 and the Xbox One S/X will not be able to enjoy this particular feature.

As the trailer shows us, it seems that players can truly build the park of their dreams, including some that are out of this world.

Towards the end of the trailer, we finally see the appearance of Roberto Clemente, picking up and throwing the ball like the Hall of Famer that he is. Clemente was a mainstay for the Pittsburgh Pirates back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

MLB The Show 21 will release this coming April 20 for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It will also come to PS4 and Xbox One. Cross-Play is enabled as well. If you want to play the game four days early, there are the various premium bundles for you to consider.
