This time around, we get a comment from artist Tomohiro Nakata, who talks about the design of Shun’ei, also confirming that he will be the protagonist of the game.

We also get to see a lovely character design illustration, on top of a description of how he changed from the previous installment of the series.

You can check it out below. If you want to see more of Shun’ei, you can also enjoy the recent trailer and screenshots focusing specifically on him.

Here’s how SNK officially describes Shun’ei.

“Shun’ei is a manipulator of illusions. Due to his mysterious powers, he was abandoned at a young age by his parents and was raised as a disciple of Tung Fu Rue. Through Hakkyokuseiken training, he learned to control his hidden powers. As the last disciple of Tung, he has set out to challenge other fighters from all over the world with his close friend Meitenkun.”

The King of Fighters XV is slated for release in 2021, but we don’t yet know which platforms it will support.

If you want to see more, you can check out the previous trailer and another gallery of screenshots.

We do know that an animated short by Masami Obari is also going to be published down the line to promote the game.
