First of all, we get to see the new Talon fighters that will appear in the upcoming Alpha 3.12.

The same video also showcases weapons (including a really spiffy crossbow), the work-in-progress interior of the Aegis Redeemer, new shield effects, more on the planetary homesteads, and effects like buoyancy and vegetation bending.

The second video features Star Citizen live director Todd Papy and core gameplay director Richard Tyrer as they talk about all the goodies that we’ll get in Alpha 3.12.

You can watch both below.

In other Star Citizen news, the crowdfunding total is currently at
$336,513,514, having passed $336 million.

The number of registered accounts has also recently passed 2.9 million and it’s currently at 2,913,959.

As usual, you should keep in mind that it’s known that not all of them are paying players. The number includes free accounts created for a variety of reasons, including Free Fly events and more.

If you want to learn more, we recently got a sizable update on the progress of the single-player campaign Squadron 42 and a really lovely cinematic trailer. On top of that, we recently heard that a new studio has been opened to create new systems and content for Star Citizen.

For the sake of full disclosure, the author of this article has been a Star Citizen backer since the original Kickstarter campaign several years ago, so you should keep that in mind while reading.
