Granblue Fantasy Reveals “Robin Hood” Job, Plenty of Swimsuits, and More

Cygames is currently hosting its summer livestream, and the developer had plenty of news to share about the popular Granblue Fantasy mobile game.

Cygames hosted today its traditional summer livestream, and the developer had plenty of news to share about the popular Granblue Fantasy mobile game.

First of all, we get to see the new swimsuit characters (and a summon), Albert, Ferry, Silva, Mimlemel, and Kaguya. Nier and Alanaan are also getting summer skins tomorrow.

Magna summons are getting their fifth star, while Albert’s Eye of the Storm event is going to be added as a side story.

Four new guardian beasts summon are going to be added alongside a new Rise of the Beasts raid, including new weapons.

On August 25 Soriz will get his five star uncap and Romeo will too at the end of the month, even if his look has just been teased.

The Island Hard Pro feature will let you skip the island raids at the price of 270 AP, but you’re still getting the loot. We even get a cute trailer about it.

A new tier IV class named “Robin Hood” is coming in September.

More battle system V2 changes have been announced including the fact that Chain Burst will become Fatal Chain and will be something you unleash when you feel appropriate. A Guard All feature will be added and Omen will apply at the end of turns.

A Special Skin Gacha will be added for 200 crystals per draw or 2000 per 10 draws. It’ll include “Mirage Style” that will let Gram and Djeeta change to another character, new colors for classes, and various special skins that you can see in the gallery.

As usual, we get some collaboration announcements: the Love Live event will become a side story on September 8, and in the same month we also get a collaboration with the Shadowverse anime. Another crossover will come in December but no further information was provided on its nature.

The original Granblue Fantasy is available for iOS, Android, and PC via browsers.

If you want to give it a try, you can read my detailed guide on how to create an account, install the game, and play in English.

If you’re interested in console games, today we also learned more about the second character pass of Granblue Fantasy Versus and we received a tease of the upcoming reveal of the release date of Granblue Fantasy Relink.
