Today the official Twitter account of the Crash Bandicoot series appears to have teased an imminent announcement of Crash Bandicoot 4.

The tweet is brief, but combined with the rating in Taiwan of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, it likely means that the official reveal of the game is just around the corner.

Most elements indicate that the official announcement is coming tomorrow during the Summer Game Fest Developer’s Showcase, which is set to officially end with the reveal of an AAA game.

You can see the tweet below.

At the moment, the rating for the game indicates PS4 and Xbox One versions developed by the good folks at Toys for Bob, which worked on the critically acclaimed Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

The remakes have been so successful that Activision has likely decided to let Toys for Bob make its own Crash game.

We’ll see tomorrow if my interpretation of this possible tease is correct. In the meanwhile, since the official announcement hasn’t yet been made, you may want to take this speculation with the customary grain of salt until confirmed.
