Following the leak that spoiled relevant plot points of The Last of Us Part II for many, Sony’s investigation on the issue has made progress.
The house of PlayStation has confirmed to Gamesindustry.biz that “it has identified the primary individuals responsible for the leaks.”
We also hear that the leakers are “not affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment or Naughty Dog.”
No further details were provided by SIE, as the specific information is currently under an ongoing investigation.
Earlier this week, Naughty Dog acknowledged the leak, encouraging fans to do their best to avoid spoilers and to avoid spoiling the game for others. The studio also promised that no matter what we see and hear, the experience will be worth it when the game launches.
The Last of Us Part II will be released on June 19, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
