Naughty Dog Releases Statement on The Last of Us Part II Leak; Asks Fans Not to Spoil it For Others

The biggest story today has been the news that large portions of The Last of Us Part II has leaked online. The leaker is rumored to be a disgruntled Naughty Dog worker. In any event, major spoilers about the story and ending of The Last of Us Part II are out there on the internet. It goes without saying that you’ll want to be very wary of where you wade on social media until its release on June 19.

Naughty Dog acknowledged the leak this afternoon and released the following statement:

That pretty much says it all right? It’s obviously a massive disappointment for Naughty Dog to see their big moment spoiled. And also, anyone that gets spoiled, that didn’t want to be, are obviously going to be crushed too.

You can mute your Twitter by entering your settings, then notification settings, muted and then muted words to add words you don’t want to see on Twitter. In this case anything related to The Last of Us. Also, we suggest leaving any Sony/TLOU2 Facebook groups and subreddits, and unfollow anyone you think might be prone to spoiling it.

The Last of Us Part II will release exclusively on PlayStation 4 on June 19.
