In a new Nintendo Direct Mini presentation that was unexpectedly dropped today on Nintendo’s YouTube channel, it was announced that the next fighter to come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be a character from ARMS, Nintendo’s third-person fighting game that released in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo did not announce which fighter would take the spot in Smash Bros. Ultimate but the company did mention that the fighter will be announced and released sometime in June.
This fighter will be the first DLC character to be added into the game as part of volume 2 of the Fighters Pass and will be the sixth fighter added into the game (if you don’t count Piranha Plant).
Nintendo also announced that ARMS will be getting a free trial for Switch Online subscribers that lets them try out the full game from March 26 to April 6, so if you have yet to try out the frenetic multiplayer title, now is the time.
