The footage, showcased during a livestream hosted by the Japanese magazine Dengeki PlayStation, was introduced by producer Yosuke Futami himself.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t at the controls and the one who was (Medina’s voice actress Miho Okazaki) wasn’t used to handling the camera, so expect some weird angles at times.

We get to see a new area (the Plains of Mildia) and a rather spectacular battle against a giant boss. More areas are showcased in a few images at the bottom of the post.

On top of the gameplay, we also get a trailer and a commercial, confirming the Japanese release date on May 21 (We already know that the western date will be just one day later, on May 22 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC).
