The video stars Kou Shibusawa, Koei Tecmo president and CEO and legendary founder of Koei.

He talks about the game and about the series in general, also mentioning that he’d like to challenge various genres with it, also adding AR and the latest technology.

Shibusawa-san explains that a specific effort has been made in advancing artificial intelligence in the latest game to portray the personality of the many officers involved. While this effort hasn’t yet been fully realized, the developer intends to keep trying.

Interestingly, we also hear that the fanbase of the series outside of Japan has now passed 50% of the total.

You can watch the full video below and hear what Shibusawa-san has to say.

Romance of The Three Kingdoms XIV will be released in Japan on January 16. The game will also come in North America and Europe on February 28, 2020.

The platforms for all regions will be PS4 and PC.

Incidentally, the game will feature a collaboration with Legend of the Galactic Heroes, even if we still don’t know what it will entail.

He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
