Koei Tecmo appears to be determined to monetize Dead or Alive 6 even above standards set by previous games of the series, and today they release a new set of DLC costumes.
When I say “new” I mean only for Dead or Alive 7 specifically, because the swimsuits included in this “Hot Summer Costume Set” come straight from Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.
To be fair there is a new one, and that’s the bikini designed for the new character NiCO.
Incidentally, Mai Shiranui and Kula aren’t getting any, likely because they’re guest characters and any outfit would have to be approved by SNK.
Speaking of monetization, the pack comes as an extra on top of the current season passs (which is the third), requiring players to drop an additional $19.99 for the full set or $1.99 per stand-alone outfit unless they prefer to sit this one out.
This is in line with the previously-released “Revival” costume set, and it’s unlikely that Koei Tecmo will stop here.

On top of the costume set we also get update 1.14, which brings the following changes.
- Added new costumes: [Revival] Hot Summer Costumes (16 costumes)
- Adjusted the K.O.(defeat) voice-over for the following characters: Kasumi, Phase 4
- Fixed the issue on the LOST PARADISE stage, where K.O. animation sometimes wasn’t shown when K.O. was achieved right after triggering the PTERODACTYL DANGER.
- [Limited to Ver.1.14] Added the “DEAD OR ALIVE 6 World Championship” notice to be displayed on the “Tips” section of the loading screen at 50% probability.
- Note: The notice text features a translation error, in which the duration of the DEAD OR ALIVE 6 World Championship is mistakenly stated as “more than ayear”, instead of “more than six months”.
- Added product description to be displayed when purchasing Premium Tickets in WARDROBE.
- Added product prices to be shown when selecting items or Premium Ticket bundles for purchase in WARDROBE.
