Today Koch Media France revealed that the next chapter of the Utawarerumono series, titled Utawarerumono ZAN is coming west courtesy of NIS America.
The game will release this fall in North America and in Europe for PS4.
Since no official announcement has come from NIS America just yet, we can pretty much infer that Koch Media published the trailer ahead of time. Naughty, naughty.
If you’re not familiar with the game, it’s a new take on the Utawarerumono series of JRPGs, which is normally a mix of tactical turn-based RPG and visual novels gameplay. This time around Aquaplus turned it into an action-based RPG. Utawarerumono ZAN was originally released in Japan in 2018, and we’re finally getting it on this side of the pond, which is just lovely.

If you’re interested in the franchise, the remake of the original game Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen is coming for PS4 and PS Vita in early 2020.
