We often hear about visual downgrades for games, while upgrades aren’t talked about as actively, but this is exactly what we’re getting to see today. Developers have taken on board feedback since the semi-recent demo, and have made a significant effort to improve things, with impressive results.

You can check out the trailer below, and see with your own eyes to the work made on textures, details, and much more. While the art style is still the same, the visuals are greatly improved.

The devs describe the process in the update.

“As you have probably seen in the trailer, a lot has changed since the demo. Our main changes came from adding fixes to the current assets as well as revisiting our lighting methods to further improve the game’s overall appearance.”

While we don’t yet know a firm release date, we recently learned that the much-anticipated IGAVania game will launch for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC this summer.

The game was originally supposed to also be released for Mac, Linux, Wii U, and PS Vita, but those versions fell by the wayside during development. Of course the Wii U and the PS Vita have gone the way of the dodo, so that’s mostly understandable.
