Today Square Enix hosted a show with the developers and voice actors of the upcoming Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest XI, aptly titled Dragon Quest XI S.
The purpose of the livestream, which you can watch in its entirety at the bottom of the post, was to showcase the voice actors of the game.
During the livestream, we learned that the hero will be played by Mitsuki Saiga. While she is a woman, she often plays male roles due to her peculiar voice. That being said, the hero won’t actually have spoken lines and will be limited to battle noises which can also be turned on and off by the player.
On top of that, we get to see more cutscenes of the Switch version showcasing the Japanese voices of several characters. You can enjoy them below courtesy of YouTube user TopGaime.
Last, but certainly not least, we learn directly from Dragon Quest creator Yuji Horii that Dragon Quest XI S will include additional story content. That being said, this was just a tease and he did not provide further details.
