The episode will air on December 30th at midnight, Japan time on TOKYO MX, Gunma TV,  Tochigi TV MBS, and BS11. It will also be aired on Crunchyroll for western audiences. A summary digest will also be aired in Japan the day before.

The episode’s plot will sound very familiar to fans of the game (so it includes spoilers if you haven’t played it. Please don’t read under the pictures unless you’re ok with that).

After hearing that their leader has committed suicide while detained as a suspect, the Phantom Thieves start to move behind the scene. In order to identify and convert the person behind all the incidents, they invade a new palace to steal his treasure.

You can check out the trailer below. It was released here, but it’s geoblocked. The reupload by YouTube user 發霉的香菇 will have to do.

Speaking of the game itself, we recently learned that Persona 5 protagonist Joker will make an appearance in Nintendo’s critically acclaimed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and even in Atlus’ own Catherine: Full Body.

Persona 5 is currently available for PS4 and PS3.
