Claire Takes on William Birkin in New Resident Evil 2 Remake Gamescom Footage

The Resident Evil 2 Remake has just gotten two new gameplay videos at Gamescom, this time featuring both Claire and Leon in action. Both clips showcase both protagonists as they fend off horrific creatures, including the now-turned William Birkin. Leon’s clip also shows another good look into the Resident Evil 2 Remake police precinct, which has been a major highlight in previous gameplay videos.

The upcoming remake is slated to launch next year on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unlike the original game, this version won’t include the zapping system and opts for a more streamlined experience instead. Apart from these two gameplay trailers, Capcom has also shared a few more details about Claire Redfield and her partner, Sherry Birkin.

If you’re interested in the game, the Resident Evil 2 Remake will be getting a $200 collector’s edition next year. Meanwhile, Japan is getting a whopping $900 limited-edition set that comes complete with a typewriter keyboard.
