With the Farewell bonus episode set to release Mar. 6, Life is Strange: Before the Storm developer Deck Nine has teased what’s in store for the series’ future.
In a post to the official Life is Strange blog on Tumblr, Deck Nine thanked fans for their support of the prequel episodes while also providing a launch trailer for the upcoming bonus episode. At the end of the post, however, they revealed Donned Entertainment, the developers of the original Life is Strange, would have news regarding Life is Strange 2 in the near future.
“We now look forward to the coming months, when Michel Koch and Raoul Barbet’s team at DONTNOD returns to present the new story and characters of the next Life is Strange,” Deck Nine wrote.
No specifics were given for the game or when the news would arrive.
Originally released Jan. 29, 2015 with the launch of its first episode, Life is Strange has gained a strong following among fans for its engrossing characters and their interactions with one another. The game’s prequel series, Before the Storm, saw the series’ development handed over from Dontnod to Deck Nine to focus on the fan-favorite character Chloe Price. The bonus episode Farewell serves as a final send off for the character as well as the return of her original voice actor, Ashley Burch, following the 2017 SAG-AFTRA strike.
