Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition Is the Fastest-Selling Xbox Pre-Order Ever

Did you manage to snag one?

The Xbox One X Project Scorpio Edition is Microsoft’s most pre-ordered Xbox in the shortest time ever. In just five days, consumers have pre-ordered more Xbox One X Project Scorpio Editions than they ever did for any previous Xbox console over the same period, Microsoft has announced.

“The speed at which we sold through our initial pre-order supply surpassed expectations, and what we experienced with pre-orders for the original Xbox One console,” said GameStop Senior Vice President of Merchandising Bob Puzon in a prepared statement.

Microsoft says it has completely sold out of pre-orders for the Project Scorpio Editions of the 4K resolution console in many countries. The console holder plans to announce details about its next batch of standard edition Xbox One X consoles in September.

Microsoft revealed the Scorpio-branded variant of its upcoming console during its Gamescom stream in Cologne, Germany earlier this week. The Project Scorpio Edition will launch alongside the standard Xbox One X on November 7 for $499.99.
