Xbox Game Pass Adds Dead Rising 3, Limbo, and Five More Games in August

Death and dismemberment headline August's lineup.

Seven more games will be added to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass on Aug. 1, the company announced today. The games listed below join the subscription service for Xbox One alongside over 100 Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward-compatible games.

Since the Xbox Game Pass launched in early June, Microsoft has added new games to the service each month. Dead Island Definitive Edition, Resident Evil 6, and five other games were added in July. The company has promised to add “at least” five new games to the library on the first of every month.

No existing Xbox Game Pass games have been announced as leaving this month, since Microsoft has stated in the past that the first round of games will not be leaving until this November. Like Netflix, the pass is a rotating library of games for $9.99 per month that can be accessed as long as one is subscribed. The difference is that the games can be fully downloaded, instead of played through streaming.
