Xbox Adds Over 70 Games to Backwards Compatibility List in Final Update

The Xbox 20th anniversary stream ended not too long ago, and in it, it was announced that over 70 new games have been added to the backwards compatibility list for the Xbox Series X|S.

These games come from both the original Xbox and Xbox 360 libraries, and they include fan favorites like the Max Payne and F.E.A.R. franchises. 70 games is a huge addition to the list, but this will be the final backwards compatibility update.

Xbox Backwards Compatibility

Many of the titles being added today will be upgraded by the current console generation. This means that features like auto HDR and increased frame rates with an FPS boost. Some of these upgrades are even coming to Xbox games that are already part of the backwards compatibility list, like the ones part of the Gears of War and Fable franchises.

Also, for those who missed it, the Halo Infinite multiplayer is now available thanks to an early surprise launch that was revealed during today’s event.
